The drills started on the 5th of this month and have been under way in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The troops are drilled in exchanging information about the air situation while preparing for and taking military action, and also in studying coordinated action when repelling the enemy?s destructive missile strikes, as well as strikes by conventional aircraft.
Russian planes involved in the exercise are interceptor- fighters MIG-31 and A-50 AWACS aircraft.
The Russian planes will operate out of the Kant Russian base in Kyrgyzstan. The drills are due over on October 16th .
